Please join Wooster alumni, friends, and family at the Olive Crest corporate office. From there, we will divide into three groups. Each group will be assigned to one group home. Each home is a haven of peace for six teenagers. The Wooster volunteers will be painting, cleaning garages, re-lining cupboards, washing windows, etc. After everyone is finished we will meet for lunch at a local Orange County restaurant. Minimum age is 21.

Thank you for generously donating your time to help with the Scots in Service Day! Below I've included some detailed information for the day. Please print out this information as well as directions for the morning of the event.

What: As alumni for the College of Wooster, we are gathering together to help some kids in the local community. We will be cleaning a residential group home for Olive Crest Abused Children's Foundation. Olive Crest is an agency that is committed to healing young lives by providing needed shelter, loving care and professional treatment to abused, abandoned, neglected and at-risk youth. The home we will be cleaning is a haven of peace for five young girls (9-13 years old). The girls will be out of the home while we are cleaning, but will return to enjoy lunch with us. For more information, go to http://www.olivecrest.org;.

Where: 2438 Garfield Ave., Orange, CA 92867 (please meet at the home in the morning rather than going to the Olive Crest corporate office as we had originally planned)

When: Saturday, October 1st, 9 a.m. - noon

What to bring: We will be providing all of the cleaning supplies. However, we do need your help in one area. After we're done cleaning, we'll be enjoying lunch together with some of the girls in the home. Christy and I will be providing all of the sandwiches. It would be great if each of you could bring one thing to pass. You don't have to bring anything homemade (although we would love it if you did!), just stop by the store and pick up something. Here's a list to help you know what to bring:

Bates, Bondurant, Cliffe - any type of drink (non-alcoholic - don't forget about the kids that will be there!)
Cook, Greene, Leonhardy, Bird - side dish (chips, veggies, fruit, etc.)
Shadle, Thatcher - dessert (cookies, brownies, etc.)

Questions: You can reach Christy and I that morning on our cell phones.
Christy's cell: (949) 690-2688
Amanda's cell: (949) 903-2974

Directions: Please mapquest it on your own. The home is in Orange, CA. Take the 55 freeway and exit Katella.
