Saint Vincent and Sarah Fischer Center

SIS Leader: Tamra Perry - tamperr@msn.com or tamra_perry@fmo.com

The St. Vincent and Sarah Fischer Center is a residential treatment center for children ages 6 to 16. The St. Vincent and Sarah Fisher Center supports children and families through life crises by offering a comprehensive and seamless network of services designed to enhance individual and family strengths. We will be volunteering to wash windows, blinds, and do other general cleaning for this residential facility.

Thank-you all for sending in and expressing an interest in our second year of participation in the Scots in Service Day. The details of our project are as follows:

St. Vincent and Sara Fisher Center
27400 Twelve mile Rd.
Farmington Hills, MI
(248) 626-7527

With all the construction in the area Mapquest might be the best approach to directions. My simple attempt would be: If coming from the West take 275 to 696 east to Orchard Lake Rd exit north. When you get off of the exit at Orchard Lake Road you want to go north to 12 mile rd. Make a right onto 12 mile and follow 12 mile to the corner of Inkster Rd. The center is on the Northwest corner of Inkster and 12 mile rd. Not exactly sure which driveway from that direction because it would come up before you would get to Inkster rd. so best advice is to get to the center then adjust.

From the east take any freeway to 696 West to Orchard Lake rd. and follow above directions. If you are familiar with the Southfield area you could take Northwestern Hwy. to 12mile rd. (You could take Northwestern to Inkster but Inkster is under contruction.).

We want to enter the third driveway of the center. It will be the the two story brick building with the Blessed Mother in front. We will meet in the lobby at 9:30 am and go to approximately 1:30pm.

No equipment needed except enthusiasm and motivation to clean. We will be cleaning the blinds for a dormitory.

I know quite a few of you had planned to bring your little ones along to help (as did I). But due to licensing requirements for the center and the sensitivity of the situation of those residing at the center, we can't have anyone under the age of 18 working on campus. I apologize if this is an inconvenience and hope that you will still be able to join us. Please bring lunch and beverage along if desired. Any questions please call me at (248) 354-2598 work or (248) 302-1165 cell. The best email address is tamra_perry@fmo.com.

Thanks and hope to see you on Saturday!
