Wooster alumni, parents, and friends will work to clear Honeysuckle plants
from designated areas around the Brukner Nature Center trails. Please
wear long-sleeved shirts and work gloves, and bring trimmers if you have
them. Children are welcome to participate with parental supervision. After
we gather for lunch, we will wrap-up our work and take tours of the Nature
Center.
Directions:
From the North:
Brukner Nature Center is located just 5 miles west of Troy, Ohio off of
State Route 55. To reach the center, take exit # 73 off of I-75 and travel
west on State Route 55 for approximately 2.4 miles. Turn right onto
Horseshoe Bend Rd. and the entrance to the Brukner Nature Center will be 2.1
mi. down on the right.
From State Route 48:
Turn left onto Horseshoe Bend Road you will go through the horseshoe bend.
It is quit steep and narrow. You may want to follow 48 to State Route 55,
turn east onto 55 to Horseshoe Bend Road. Turn left onto Horseshoe Bend Rd
and follow it 2.1 miles to the entrance.
From South:
Take either I-75 or State Route 48 and follow the above directions.
