NEW YORK CITY
10 am-1 pm

Central Park Conservancy
lunch at 1 pm

New York City alumni, parents, and friends will work on a beautification project in Central Park followed by a group picnic. Children are welcome to work alongside their parent(s). When our work is done we will kick back and have a picnic lunch (BYO brown bag) with the opportunity to catch up and socialize with our fellow Woosterites.

Event Details:

We are scheduled to work from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Since we will indeed be working in the dirt, please wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Also be sure to bring water. I believe there is a concession stand near our work area, but better to be safe than sorry. Attached is an information sheet from the Central Park Conservancy which provides additional information.

As we will be working in the northern area of the Park around 102nd street and have to walk into the park across the 102nd Street cut-through to meet the Conservancy team, I propose we meet at the benches at the Central Park West and 103rd Street entrance into the Park. This is easily accessible by the B or C trains which stop right at 103rd Street and Central Park West. I will be waiting at the benches at the entrance at 9:30 a.m. If we all can gather by 9:45, we can then walk into the Park together and meet up with the Conservancy crew.

Please don't forget to bring lunch so we can relax after all the hard work and enjoy the beauty of the Park together. I do not think there is a concession stand near where we will be working that sells food, other than drinks and smoothies as most of the food concessions are located further south in the Park.
