Linden Recreation Center Clean-Up
lunch following

Wooster alumni, friends, and family will be working on Recreation Center Clean-Up. We will clean up the park, work on flower beds, spread mulch, possibly paint, and complete various indoor activities such as reorganizing areas of the center. Children are welcome to work on a project area with their parent(s). We will group for lunch after our work is done!

Our schedule:
9:00 a.m.--Check-in/T-shirt pick-up/Organize/Light breakfast
9:30 a.m.--Start Working
11:30 a.m.--Light Lunch

As we are staying in one location, our schedule is a little more flexible. If you need to arrive later or leave earlier, just let me know in your reply. We will work, rain or shine!

Location/Directions:
Linden Recreation Center at 1254 Briarwood Ave., Columbus, 43211. From I-71, exit at Hudson Avenue and go East (away from Lowes/campus). Turn left on McGuffey Road (there is a traffic light at this intersection--if you get to Cleveland Ave, you have gone too far). Go three blocks and turn right on Briarwood Avenue. When you get to the "one way, do not enter" sign, turn left on Hamilton Ave (you will now be driving beside the park). Take the first right, going in front of the Recreation Center, parking is on the other side. Depending on weather, we will either meet you at the shelter behind the Recreation Center or inside of the building. Look for the College of Wooster banner!

What to bring:
We will mostly be beautifying the park. Bring work gloves, hand trowels, shovels, rakes--anything you might use at home for cleaning out flower beds and putting down mulch. Some equipment will be provided so don't worry if you don't have anything to bring!

You can also bring tools for trimming back bushes and shrubs. We are trying to get some plants donated so we can plant mums, bulbs or other fall/winter flowers. If you have any you would like to donate, just let me know!

You could bring a couple trash bags for picking up trash around the area.

We may do some painting--but all supplies will be provided.
