LOS ANGELES
8 am-noon — lunch following
Annual California Coastal Cleanup Day

Let’s hit the beach! (or creek) The Annual California Coastal Cleanup Day is an excellent opportunity to work with Californian Wooster alumni, friends and family cleaning up beaches, rivers, lakes, creeks, and other waterways. We will record the items we collect and the data will become part of an international database used to track marine debris and devise solutions to marine debris problems. Children are welcome, although the minimum advisable age is 4. We will end our day with a picnic lunch.

Event Details:

The directions to the LA site are as follows:

LA site: Ballona Creek at Duquesne Avenue in Culver City. Duquesne Avenue
is about 11 blocks east of Overland between Culver Blvd and Jefferson Blvd.
(Thomas Guide 672 G-4) A map is also available at http://www.culvercity.org
(click on Coastal Cleanup Day)

Parking is available at the City's Transportation Building, 4343 Duquesne Avenue. (It's either free or there's a nominal charge of $1 dollar, I've gotten conflicting information on this). The registration tables will be located at the entrance to the Ballona
Creek bike path.
