New York City Project — 2001:

Central Park Clean-Up and Gardening

The early birds met at Rockefeller Center at 47th Street and 6th Avenue wearing Scots in Service t-shirts and carrying the Wooster National Volunteer Day banner and were fortunate enough to appear on NBC’s Weekend Today Show. Breakfast followed and then the full group gathered in Central Park where the work began. Weeding gardens, cleaning up walkways and planted areas, moving small trees and beautifying the park were some of the tasks for the day. Lunch was provided in Central Park.
