| 1. Join the Group |
Click on “No, I am not yet a LinkedIn user” |
Click on “Yes, I am a LinkedIn user”
Enter in your PRIMARY e-mail address and password for LinkedIn |
| 2. Create your Profile |
Fill out as much of the online form as possible – the
more detail the better.
NOTES TO STUDENTS / RECENT GRADUATES:
1. For E-mail Address, use a permanent address that will
not expire after you graduate from Wooster (NOT a @wooster.edu
address)
2. For Industry, enter in your first choice industry or
field where you are seeking a career opportunity or pursuing
a graduate school degree
3. For School Name, if you cannot find Wooster in the
drop-down menu, select “Other” and type in “The
College of Wooster” |
Please update your profile – the more complete the
better. |
| 3. Confirm your Identity |
IMPORTANT: LinkedIn will send you a confirmation e-mail
to the address you provided. You MUST check
your e-mail, click on the link provided in the e-mail and
then click “Confirm”.
Sometimes, this e-mail can end up in a Quarantine/Junk Mail/Spam
folder – so make sure you check these folders in
your e-mail account.
Once you have confirmed your e-mail address, your status
will be set to “Pending” until the Administrator
has had a chance to approve it. If this does not happen
in 1-2 days, PLEASE send isanwooster@gmail.com an e-mail
to let us know. |
Existing users do not need to confirm their identity with
LinkedIn. |
| 4. Connect with alumni! |
Bookmark the LinkedIn
secure login page for
easy access to the ISAN group. When you log in next, you
can access the ISAN group at the bottom right of your LinkedIn “home” page.
Click on the “See All Members” link to connect
with other ISAN members who have joined. To contact an ISAN
member, simply click on the member’s profile and then
click on the “Contact Directly” button on the
right side. |
PLEASE NOTE: If you are having any trouble joining or using
the ISAN group on LinkedIn, do not give up! This is a very useful
resource, and it is worth the initial investment of effort to
reap the benefits. Just send us an e-mail at isanwooster@gmail.com,
